Asset Inspection & Integrity

Structural and mechanical inspection that doesn't stop at a report. We identify and risk-rate every defect, design the repair, and drive it to signed-off closure in Argus, where every defect is located on a 3D model of your asset.

Overview

We inspect the plant, infrastructure and heavy structures that keep an operation running, and we tell you what their condition means for safety, production and spend. Where access is difficult or dangerous, we reach the asset by remote and robotic methods, and the data comes back to an engineer who interprets it and signs the result.

We cover the full life of a structural defect, from identification through to closure: every defect risk-rated as we inspect, the repair designed, and the repair managed to sign-off. Each deliverable is checked by a second engineer, then signed by a registered engineer.

Our engineers are registered in Queensland (RPEQ), New South Wales, Victoria, Western Australia and the Australian Capital Territory, and hold Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status in Australia and New Zealand.

How we work

  1. 01
    Scope and prepareThe scope is shaped together: your integrity standards and our engineering. Before anyone mobilises, the plan is approved and we build the digital inspection forms for that scope and asset, aligned to your framework, so what the inspectors record in the field is accurate, consistent and fully documented. Each asset’s defect history is loaded into those forms, so the crew arrives knowing what was found last time.

    Inspect and captureOur engineers work the structure section by section rather than sampling it, reaching height and confined spaces by drone and robotic access where a person should not go. Condition data comes from visual inspection, with NDT, thickness measurement and instrumentation where the failure modes call for it, and we use 3D laser scanning as we go to build the asset’s digital twin.

    Identify and risk-rateEach defect is categorised and risk-rated in the field against design and code requirements, then verified by engineers at the office the same day, so ratings stay consistent across a full campaign and a full crew. When you need it, we assess fitness for service and remaining life from the record built up across inspections. Findings are reported at the depth your project needs, with actions matched to each rating.

    Design the repairWe engineer the repair from the dimensions captured at inspection, and from understanding why the damage occurred rather than only where. You receive engineering drawings and repair documentation ready to take to the field.

    Manage in ArgusEvery defect sits in one register prioritised by risk, each carrying its photographs, rating, history and repair. Your team and ours work in the same place: you see each defect, schedule its repair and watch its status advance, rather than waiting for the next report. Nothing has to be reconciled between systems, and the highest-risk defects are the ones moving first.

    CloseThe completed repair comes back as evidence against the same defect record. A registered engineer verifies it and signs the defect closed.

Argus & the structural digital twin

Argus is the defect management platform we built, and it holds the asset’s structural digital twin. Every defect we identify is recorded there and anchored to the twin, at the exact element and location it belongs to. It exists for one reason: to close defects faster, and on the right priority.
