Outcome
A quantified baseline of 20,000 to 34,000 operating hours before fatigue cracks recur at the critical chassis joints, with weld quality protecting up to 80 per cent of fatigue life.

Robotic ultrasonic crawler inspection of steel processing bins within a single shutdown, mapping hopper wall loss to AS/NZS ISO 16809 and assessing minimum allowable wall thickness to AS 3774 and structural capacity to AS 4100.

849 thickness readings captured in one shutdown; all bins compliant with margins from twice to over twenty-six times the structural requirement, delivered below the cost of manual inspection.

Plant-wide vibration survey of centrifuge and screen floors under operating conditions, tracing high vibration to structural resonance with calibrated finite element models and engineering mitigation verified by simulation before implementation.
Outcome
Root-cause resonance diagnosed and mitigation verified in calibrated models before any steel was cut, reducing vibration across the identified hotspots and bringing human exposure within standards.

Dump Body Exchange System Design Certification

Scope
Independent certification of a dump body exchange system that holds multi-tonne haul truck bodies during exchange, built around an independent finite element model of the columns, support fixtures, ground support and reinforced concrete foundation, with structural compliance to AS 3990 and AS 4100, seismic assessment of the critical columns to AS 1170.4, hydraulic verification to AS 2671 and foundation checks to AS 3600 and AS/NZS 4671, all framed by the mining plant guideline MDG 15.
Outcome
The system was certified compliant across the applicable Australian standards and MDG 15, spanning the structural, mechanical, hydraulic and foundation scopes, signed by a registered engineer so it could be released into service under the stated conditions of certification.
